Since the inception of the original firm in 1956 as Allen Huggins Architects, T•RTA Architecture has provided professional architectural services for a variety of projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta while maintaining a strong base in Vernon and surrounding communities.  Our projects list includes residential, commercial, industrial, health care and community related facilities for a wide variety of clients.

In 2012, the Firm was purchased by Garry Tomporowski, an industry leader and owner of GTA Architecture Ltd in Kelowna, B.C.  By accessing and utilizing the talent and experts from both Firms, T·RTA is able to give our clients the personal touch of a small firm while at the same time giving  in-house access to resources and professional services most firms have to contract out.   We can effectively undertake projects that range in size from interior renovations and small additions to multi-million dollar construction.  

We believe that the consistency and success of our organization is reflected in the large number of repeat clients who tell us that the most significant attribute of our firm is that we are easy to get along with, and above all, listen to their ideas and provide very personal and individual service.  We place a high priority on internal and external communication and all staff and team members are kept abreast of the project’s progress.  We encourage regular meetings with our clients knowing that this ensures an interactive and cohesive exchange of ideas.

At T·RTA we stay current by using the most up-to-date architectural and design software.  The latest laptops, tablets and smart phones enable us to view and make changes to your plans on the go and our full colour KIP printer enables us to have your plans available to you at a moment’s notice negating the need for outsourcing reproduction.
