GRASSLANDS NURSERY

All plant material at Grasslands Nursery is carefully selected. It must either thrive in a xeriscape with minimal water requirements or produce food. Many of the xeriscape plants are drought tolerant once established, requiring little or no supplemental water except in extended periods of drought conditions.

ANNUALS AND PERENNIALS

Grasslands Nursery carries a gorgeous selection of annuals to add colour to your garden.

NATIVE PLANTS

Grasslands Nursery offers a special selection of native plants– those that thrive without cultivation and are not species introduced from elsewhere. The growth characteristics of native or indigenous plants are well suited to the area.

EDIBLES

Grasslands Nursery fully supports the global effort to educate folks on growing their own food.

We grow hundreds of edible bedding plants each year: cucumbers, basil; peppers, basil, several varieties of lettuce, spinach, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, and more than a dozen different types of tomatoes… to list just a few. And don’t forget your fruit– we carry strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, haskap berries, rhubarb, grapes…

SHRUBS AND EVERGREENS

Shrubs and evergreens add substance to the landscape and provide focal points throughout the year; they should not be overlooked. Grasslands Nursery carries a selection of shrubs and evergreens with low water requirements that will thrive in the Okanagan environment
