My name is Christina Hynes. I was born in Memphis, Texas, a small town up in the panhandle. I am the eldest of 2 girls, blessed to have the parents I was born to. I spent a lot of my childhood life moving around all over the state of Texas, as my father was a farm hand for most of his career. At the age of 13, we finally settled on the King Ranch and in 1998 I graduated from Rivera Kaufer High School. It wasn’t until after getting married and my first child in 2002 that I decided to take a few courses in theology with the Baptist University of the Americas, knowledge I later put to use as a Sunday School teacher at my church.
I had the opportunity get my start in the insurance industry in 2003 with a captive agency in Sinton, Texas. Although I had only worked for 3 years as secretary in that agency, it was in late 2006 when we celebrated the 50th anniversary for another secretary in the office that I realized I needed to be more, not just for myself but for my small family. I obtained the insurance licenses required and accepted an agent position within the same Company, relocating to Rockport, Texas. After moving to Rockport and growing my family with 2 more children in 2008 and 2009, it was in 2012 when I faced some struggles in life, but was able to get through it with God’s help.
Today I find myself happily married with 5 beautiful children. I am involved with the local Chamber as a Bay Blazer, serve on board for Aransas County Sports Authority and volunteer as a Lil’ Miss Kickball coach at Tiger Field. I have lived in Rockport for 8 years and I am happy to be a part of a growing independent agency in a great community.
