"I recently had the good fortune to hire Craig Ellwanger and his company to perform some work in my home. I had several of the pot lights in my kitchen which every time I put a new bulb in it burnt out in a couple of days. I was braced for this to be expensive as the lights were old and larger than most you find in newer homes. I was sure they would need to be replaced and because the openings would be oversized, maybe needing a new kitchen ceiling or extensive repair work.

The electrician came 20 minutes early, assessed the problem, determined it to be minor (the contacts in the fixture had been compressed), fixed it and then a miracle happened. Since he had only been there 20 minutes and I had to be charged for a one hour minimum, he asked if there was anything else minor he could take care of for me. He actually wanted me to get full value for my hour. He taught me how to avoid the problem in the future. He then proceeded to fix my entry switch that I hadn’t used in five years.

Every time I used the switch it caused the intercom system that was across the room to turn on the radio/speakers throughout the house.

"These guys are extremely good at what they do. I look for 3 things in a product - quality, honesty, and price. Genesis met all of my expectations in this area, and then some. When it comes down to it, our house is still standing thanks to Genesis. My wife and I live in an older house and are continually finding things that are outdated and/or need upgrading. The house had obviously had some minor upgrades over the years prior to our moving in. Unfortunately, most of these prior upgrades seem to have been just enough to get by and did not allow for any headroom. I am 100% confident that our house is now safe and we have quality hardware that will allow us to upgrade down the line, should we choose to. What I really liked about Genesis is that they actually took the time to explain and show me the issues that we had rather than trying to take advantage of a rather desperate situation.
