Coldwell Banker Corporation was founded in San Francisco in 1906 by Colbert Coldwell and Benjamin Arthur Banker, hence the name. The reason Coldwell Baker Corporation has flourished over 100 years has to do with the company's business philosophy which is reflected in a quote from Chandler B. Barton, Former President and CEO of Coldwell Banker Corporation: "When you think about our business, our job, really, is to help people achieve security, comfort, and peace of mind. Outside of family and human life, a person's home is the most treasured thing on earth. Whether we're helping a young family move into their first home, or assisting a large corporation in relocating valued employees, our job at Coldwell Banker is to help people experience one of the most important investments they'll ever make - a home. What a tremendous and marvelous responsibility we have." -Chandler B. Barton |
