In The Beginning – The Rossland Course

The Rossland Trail Country Club was organized on April 22, 1922. The first year there were 81 shareholders, 56 were playing members. The first course was on what was known as Floyd Ranch (Water Hole) located just above Warfield. In 1926 the Club, with land leased from Cominco constructed the nine hole course in Rossland.
The Birchbank Course is Added
In 1962 on property once again leased from Cominco, construction of the Birchbank course began, with the first nine holes completed in 1964. The back nine and the clubhouse were completed in 1969. The course was designed by local golf professional Roy Stone.
