Stephen D. Slater

Steve grew up in Baldwin-Whitehall and was licensed as a funeral director in 1983.  He is a 5th generation funeral director. After graduating from the College of Wooster in 1980 he attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where he graduated in 1981. Steve is married to Reverend Judi (Ralph) Slater, a graduate of Elizabeth Forward H.S. and the minister of the First Presbyterian Church of Duquesne. They are the proud parents of Jennifer, married to Matthew Adams, Nick Matty and Drew Slater who just received his license to be a funeral director.

Drew H. Slater

Drew is a 2005 graduate of Thomas Jefferson H.S., a 2009 graduate of Waynesburg University and a 2010 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.  He has completed his Internship and has received his Funeral Director License this past December 2011.  He works here with his dad and also in Mt Oliver with his uncle, Tim Slater, owner of Timothy K. Slater Funeral Services (formerly Farnsworth Funeral Home). Drew is the 6th generation of Slater funeral directors.

J. Fred Slater

Fred is a 1948 graduate of Brentwood H.S. and has been a licensed funeral director for 56 years. He is Steve and Tim's dad, Drew's grandfather and a 4th generation funeral director. He is the former owner of the John F. Slater Funeral Home in Brentwood.

Timothy K. Slater

Tim, a 5th generation Funeral Director, is the owner of Timothy K. Slater Funeral Services (formerly the Howard A. Farnsworth Funeral Home) located at 425 Brownsville Road in Mt. Oliver. Tim occasionally helps Steve and Drew, and covers the funeral home when both are out of town.
