VERY WELL TRAINED
The Home and Property Inspector is fully trained by AHIT - American Home Inspectors Training Institute. The training involves both study materials, but also hands-on experience through working with an experienced home inspector. AHIT further provides additional specialized training on an ongoing basis so that The Home and Property Inspector can stay up to date with current standards as well as to gain further knowledge on specialized inspections, thus providing superior home inspection service in the Cariboo Region. Education never stops because standards never stop.
FULLY LICENSED
As of February, 2009, the province of BC has enacted that all property inspectors in BC be licenced. No longer is it acceptable to use an inspector that is doing inspections just because they "know what they are doing".
The Home and Property Inspector is fully licenced and certified by both CAHPI - Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors as well as BPCPA - Business Practice Consumer Protection Agency of BC.
This licensing and certification is now required in BC to ensure that the house inspection you are getting is done to proper current standards and ethics are adhered to. Neither of these associations would approve The Home and Property Inspector unless all required levels of education are completed and the standards are adhered to. The association licensing assures you, the home buyer and home owner that the home inspection is being done correctly.
VERY EXPERIENCED
Education is not the only way that The Home and Property Inspector has come to know about houses and their systems. Through years of practical, hands-on experience actually building houses and working together with experienced trades people installing mechanical systems has The Home and Property Inspector developed extensive knowledge on what it takes to make a good house.

WHY DO A HOME INSPECTION?
-The inspection can reveal problems that can be fixed before you move in, saving you time and money. If you are a first-time homebuyer, an inspection can give you a home maintenance checklist of items that need attention to make your home well maintained. Don't skip this important step in the home-buying process - it's worth every penny.
INSPECT BEFORE LISTING.
-A pre-inspected home will sell easier than one that is not inspected. Doing a pre-listing inspection saves the buyers from wondering what might be wrong. You can fix any issues long before a buyer comes through. The longer your house is listed, the more it costs. A home inspection will ensure a faster sale. Save lots of money, spend a little up front!
