Eric De Boef, DDSDr. Eric De Boef opened Town Square Dental Care in 2003, right after he graduated from University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He purchased Dr. Mummey’s dental practice in Montezuma in 2012 and named it Diamond Trail Dental. He grew up in rural Iowa and is privileged to be practicing in the same county in which he was raised. Growing up in a tight-knit farming family instilled in him the values of faith, family, hard work, integrity, social stewardship and laughter. To give back, Dr. De Boef has participated in a dental mission program to Guatemaula, and he participates in local programs which provide low-to-no cost dental care to underserved patients. Eric and his wife, Amy, have been blessed with six children. Eric is actively involved in his church and passing on his values to his family. He enjoys farming and seasonal outdoor activities, whether they be work or play. He also enjoys sports and is an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Kara Weishaar, DDS Kara Weishaar, DDS, is a 2013 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and a life-long resident of Oskaloosa, Iowa. She is happy to return “home” and serve the patients in central Iowa. As a child, Dr. Weishaar liked going to the dentist and she strives to create the same gentle and trusting environment with her patients. She enjoys working with people of all ages, including young children. In her spare time, Dr. Weishaar enjoys reading, baking, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Weishaar graduated valedictorian from Oskaloosa High School in 2005. She completed her undergrad studies at the University of Northern Iowa in December of 2008, graduating with a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in chemistry. In 2009, she married Josh Weishaar from Reasnor, Iowa and began studying dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Weishaar and her husband, Josh Weishaar, from Reasnor, IA, have enjoyed settling in Oskaloosa. They look forward to giving back to the communities that were such a large part of their growth and development. They’ve added a baby and a puppy to their family since moving back home. Thomas J. Bowie, DDSDr. Bowie is a graduate of the University of Iowa dental school. He returned to Oskaloosa in 1977, and practiced dentistry for over 37 years before selling his practice to Dr. De Boef. Dr. Bowie continues to practice dentistry full-time at Town Square Dental Care along side Dr. De Boef and Dr. Weishaar. Dr. Bowie’s father and grandfather practiced dentistry in the Oskaloosa community beginning in 1910. In 2010, the community celebrated 100 years of Bowie dentistry in Oskaloosa. By joining Town Square Dental care, Dr. Bowie is ensuring his patients will continue to receive high-quality dental care for years to come. Dr. Bowie and his wife, Madonna, are active volunteers in the school and community. They have four grown children and four grandchildren. |
