About Us

           J. Lorton and Company is a family owned business that began with John Lorton. As a young boy with a lot of motivation and drive, he started J. Lorton Lawn mowing service.   In high school, he attended vocational school for construction. Upon graduation, he started John Lorton Construction. He built his first new home in 1982.  Twenty-eight years and many homes later, we have J. Lorton and Company.  

   In the office, Cathy Horn, Kelly Fetter, Christine Brenner and Tricia Lorton will tend to your needs. If you ever call the office, you will hear one of their pleasant voices. They are dedicated to offering  high-quality customer service that puts people first. As one of Ocean Counties fastest growing builders they provide exceptional customer care.

                In addition to John Lorton,  Rob Rotonde is our senior estimator and project manager. Rob will be the friendly gentleman who will show up at your door for an appointment. He will provide you with one on one client service to accommodate your needs. He will work with you from your first appointment throughout the entire project. Customer satisfaction is his goal!

               Our skilled craftsmen, Ernest Ottosen, Ray Selert, Ray Downs, Sal Avila and Hector Hipolito provide the quality workmanship each job deserves. They take pride in their work and know how to construct just about anything. Our previous customers rave about them and how much of an asset they are to the company.
