Zook’s Septic Services has been in operation since 1988, and has offered personal, friendly, hometown service for the local community ever since. The septic needs of the local community have been met whether it was a residential, commercial, or an industrial need. Zook’s was started by Josh Zook in 1988 and was named Zook’s Liquid Hauling. He started providing the service to the local farmers by hauling their manure. Then he started serving the residents of the community with their septic needs. In 2013 Jonathan Hummel of Middleburg purchased the business, and in 2017 Jonathan changed the name from Zook’s Liquid Hauling to Zook’s Septic Services. Today, Zook’s Septic Services has a storage pit which allows them to recycle the septic waste. We are able to treat it and turn it into fertilizer. By doing this, we are able to use true organic matter for fertilizer instead of buying commercial, manufactured fertilizer. This process is regulated by the DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) who completes yearly inspections of the operation. Jonathan is a local farmer who was raised in Snyder County. He continues to live in Snyder County on his family’s farm with his wife and children. Jonathan is determined to continue to provide the same personal, friendly, hometown service that Josh Zook provided when he started the business in 1988. All of Zooks Septic Services operations is located in Snyder County making it easy to serve the local communities of Middleburg, Mifflinburg, Penns Creeks, Beaver Springs, Rebersburg, Madisonburg, Lewisburg, Selinsgrove, and beyond. |
