Petcetera was first established in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1985 by Dr. Penny Kuhn. At this time, it was located at S. 3rd Street and known as the Riverside Animal Clinic. Kuhn ran the clinic until 1994, when Dr. Carol Hagen purchased it and changed its name to Petcetera Animal Clinic. In 1997, Grand Forks experienced a historic flood, damaging the 3rd St. facility. The animal clinic was temporarily transported to Dr. Hagen’s garage until July of the next year. In the meantime, a new facility was constructed at today’s location at 40th Ave. S., and in August of 1998, doctors and staff were able to once again operate in a veterinary hospital setting. Since its beginnings, Petcetera Animal Clinic has grown to a 3-doctor practice. The animal clinic has seen a wide array of clients, including everything from a 3-foot-long iguana to a diapered duck, and everything in between. |
