TRANSFER STATION
Heaps Container Service operates the only transfer station in Columbia County. Haul your own trash and save money. Why pay for a Roll-Off Container if you can haul it yourself, and save money? The transfer station is permitted by the Department of Environmental Protection to accept waste from Columbia, Montour, Lycoming, Northumberland, Union, and Snyder counties. The transfer station accepts municipal waste, construction waste, furniture, mattresses, appliances, and batteries. Recycling is also available on site we accept aluminum cans, newspapers, clear, and brown glass. There is also certified scales on site which benefit the entire community. Contact us for rates.
RESIDENTIAL
Standard Service
Heaps Container Service serves Residential customers in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, and Lycoming counties. There are a variety of service options available to meet your individual waste removal needs. Heaps Container Service will collect household garbage in cans or bags weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Waste includes household waste only (no clean up or construction waste). Heaps also offers recycling services for residential customers on a per customer basis.
Extra Waste
Extra bags, large items, construction waste etc contact us before service day. There is an extra charge for this service.
Pick-up Time
Place trash out the night before your scheduled pick-up day. Collections begin at 5:30 a.m. If your trash is not out when service personnel arrive pick-up will be made the following scheduled pick-up day.
COMMERCIAL

Are you throwing away paper, envelopes, magazines, newspaper, junk mail, cardboard, plastic, glass, tin, aluminum? ***STOP***
This material can be recycled. Single stream recycling means you no longer need to separate the recyclables. All of them can be placed in one bin. Please contact us and we will start collecting your recyclables.

Heaps Container Service commercial customers can choose from a variety of well-maintained containers with various sizes from 1 cubic yard up to 10 cubic yard containers, giving customers various options to meet their specific needs. Each container comes with durable lightweight plastic lids to keep trash in container. Commercial Accounts include but are not limited to, Apartment complexes, restaurants, Stores, Office buildings, Hospitals and general businesses. A commercial sales representative will help you choose which container is right for your needs.
ROLL-OFF CONTAINERS
Heaps Container Service provides Roll-Off container service in Columbia, Montour, Lycoming, Northumberland, Union and Snyder counties. Whether you're re-roofing your home, adding an addition, remodeling your interior or just cleaning out your garage Heaps Container Service has a Roll-Off container that will work for you. Most Roll-Off dumpsters are used for commercial or construction and demolition purposes; however, many Residential customers use a small 10yd Roll-Off to do house clean outs and small home improvements. Roll-Off containers are available in a variety of sizes starting at 10 cubic yards and going as large as 30 cubic yards. Contact us for rates.

Compactor Roll-Off's are available for Commercial and Industrial customers that want to decrease the frequency of pick-ups. Our experienced staff will install the appropriate Compactor Roll-Off customized to your individual needs. Heaps Container Service also offers many affordable lease, rent or purchase options. Our maintenance personnel will maintain the unit as part of its ongoing service.
