Dr. Clayton Briscoe

Dr. Briscoe has practiced optometry in Pendleton since 1992. He is certified by the Oregon Board of Optometry for the diagnosis and treatment of vision conditions as well as eye health and diseases of the eye. Dr. Briscoe holds certifications in topical, oral and injectable pharmaceutical treatments. He is a prescribing physician. He is a 1988 graduate of California State University, Chico with a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry. He graduated in 1992 from Pacific University College of Optometry with a Doctorate of Optometry. He practices family eye care with emphasis on disease of the eye and conditions associated with aging... cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. Dr. Briscoe is certified in surgical co-management and referral consultation of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive surgery. Dr. Briscoe is an avid outdoorsman, enjoys community service, and youth organizations. His time away from the office is spent enjoying quality time with his family. Dr. Briscoe is a member of the Oregon Optometry Association, the American Optometric Association, the Eastern Oregon Association of Optometric Physicians.

Dr. Michelle Monkman

Dr. Monkman has practiced Optometry in Pendleton since 1995. She is certified by the Oregon Board of Optometry and is licensed in topical, oral and injectable pharmaceutical treatments. She graduated from Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science degree and in 1992 from the college of Optometry. She practices family eye care, including diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, conjunctivitis and uveitis and eye turns. She is also certified to remove foreign bodies from the eye and treat eyelid disease. In addition, Dr. Monkman co-manages surgeries for eye diseases, eye turns and refractive surgeries like lasik. In her free time, Dr. Monkman enjoys spending time with her family and volunterring for local community organizations and schools. Dr. Monkman is a member of the Oregon Physicians Association, the American Optometric Association and the Eastern Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. Dr. Monkman is past president of the Oregon Board of Optometry.
 
Tammy, CPOT, ABOC, NCLEC
Ophthalmic Technician / Lens Specialist

Hi, my name is Tammy. I have worked with Vision Source Pendleton for 12 years and am a Certified Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT) and have my American Board of Optometry Certification (ABOC) and National Contact Lens Examiners Certification (NCLEC). I manage our contact lens education program and instruct our contact lens classes. My favorite responsibility in our clinic is doing special testing for diseases and conditions of the eye. I perform very cutting-edge testing with high-tech instrumentation that allows the doctors to better diagnose and manage each patient individually.  I have 4 children and 1 grandchild and enjoy the outdoors, sports, geocaching and photography.

Hi, my name is Teri. I have been with Vision Source Pendleton for 11 years. I am a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA). My main responsibility is keeping our frame inventory updated to all the latest fashions and making sure you receive the greatest quality eyewear. I want you to be 100% satisfied. Outside of work I love spending time with my family. I have three children, Easton, Grady & Morley and love being involved with their activities and sports.  My husband Tom coaches baseball so my time away from work is normally spent on a bleacher eating sunflower seeds, cheering on the team.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I have worked for Vision Source Pendleton for 10 years. I am a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA). I also take care of our insurance and patient receivables. I am also trained in special testing. My goal is to work with you and your insurance company to make sure all your questions are answered and you receive full benefits from them.  I have been happily married for nine years and have two children, Kenny who is six and Ava who is three.  In my spare time I love spending time with my family and volunteering for school and church activities.

I have been with Vision Source Pendleton for 9 years.  My goal as a technician is to make you feel comfortable with your exam, even though we use very high-tech instruments. I work closely with the doctors in providing you the best and most complete vision and eye health care that is possible. I am also very active in the Cornerstone Community Church where I am a worship leader and sing every Sunday.  I also  enjoy reading and love Nascar and watching demo races.

Hi, I am Kori. I am the Office Manager of Vision Source Pendleton. I have worked with Vision Source Pendleton for 7 years. I am a Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) and cross-trained in all other areas of the office. I work closely with the doctors to ensure our practice stays financially healthy. My goal is to keep Vision Source Pendleton a viable business so the doctors can do what they do best - help you with all your vision and eyecare needs. Occasionally you may see me in another area of the office helping my teammates in making sure your experience exceeds your expectations of us. My husband and I have 4 children that all enjoy sports. When we are not cheering them on, we are camping, riding dirtbikes & 4wheelers, disc golfing and just being plain goofy!

When seating patients I strive to make every patient feel comfortable throughout their exam experience. I work closely with the doctors to provide you excellent eye care.  I am one of the office's technicians. My main responsibility is to do special testing with the latest, state-of-the-art instruments for diseases and conditions of the eye such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with two sons Carter and Tucker, family, friends and my many pets. You can also find me outdoors doing a variety of activities.
