Border State Bank
Border State Bank has flourished and grown since it began as Greenbush State Bank in 1935. The name was officially changed when the bank purchased Badger State Bank in the early 1990’s. Changes in demographics, economic factors and the direction of the banking industry led to a decision to expand and a bank was opened in Roseau in 1995. Additional banks were opened in Baudette, Minnesota in 1998 and International Falls, Minnesota in 2000 and the First National Banks in Thief River Falls and Middle River, Minnesota were purchased in 2002.
Currently, Border State Bank operates seven banking locations: Thief River Falls, Greenbush, Badger, Roseau, Baudette, International Falls and Middle River. These, along with affiliations with several other Minnesota banks, Border Insurance Network and the Investment Centers of America, provide a complete line of financial services to northern Minnesota. |
