Designing A Kitchen
Designing a kitchen can be an overwhelming task with so many styles and options available. At Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens, our experienced designers can offer expert advice that will suit your needs, style and budget. From the arrangements of cabinets and appliances to picking materials, finishes and all of the available options, our designers can design a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing for all of our clients. Our custom cabinetry will fit your home perfectly!
To assist you in preparing for your first meeting, we have put together an in-depth questionnaire that will help you establish your needs and desires in the planning of your new kitchen.
What to expect during the planning stage
When you step into our showroom, you will be greeted by one of our designers. We will take time to assess your needs, guide you in your selection of cabinetry and help you determine the style of kitchen you prefer/want. Upon request, we can visit your home and get a feel for your kitchen before starting the design.
You can also call prior to coming for your first visit to book an appointment with one of our design specialists.
After the first meeting, our designer will use our specialized software to design and price your kitchen. He/she will also produce a full set of drawings, which will be available for you to review during a second meeting. You will be able to see realistic pictures of your future kitchen and have a clear vision of the look and the work space that has been planned for you. You will also be given a quotation based on the layout and details previously discussed and presented to you.
If Mother Hubbard’s is installing your Kitchen
Once you have approved the design, we will be asking for you to sign a purchase agreement as well as the appropriate drawings and details. At this time, we will require a retainer. This will guarantee the pricing of your final design. We will also give you the floor plan, elevations and all of the pictures we have prepared for you as well as a copy of the purchase agreement.
Our designer will then prepare all of the necessary paperwork required to place the order and forward the information to our Production Facility.
Once payment is made and kitchen is ordered at our Production Facility, our scheduling department will contact you and a tentative installation date will be discussed and agreed to by you and Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens. We will later confirm the installation date and keep in touch with you to make sure you are not experiencing any delays in the preparation for your new kitchen.
A week prior to your new kitchen installation, we will get in touch with you to confirm that everyone is still on track for our scheduled date.
If you are not purchasing the installation from Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens, we will keep in touch with you as well to confirm that you’re still on schedule for receiving your kitchen.
Delivery
If you choose to have your kitchen delivered, your cabinetry will be delivered to you the day prior to or the day of the installation. Make sure you have space available for storing your cabinetry while our installer is installing the kitchen.
Installation
An average installation takes about 2 days, depending, of course, on the size of the kitchen and the custom details involved. If there are any back orders or additional products required to complete your kitchen, be assured these items will be produced as quickly as possible to complete your project in a timely manner.
Follow up
At Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens, we believe in customer care and strive for perfection. We will be contacting you when your project is complete to ensure your experience with Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens has met or exceeded your expectations. Your feedback is very important to us.
Buying your Kitchen without our installation service
Once you have approved the design, we will be asking for you to sign a purchase agreement as well as the appropriate drawings and details. At this time, we will require a retainer. This will guarantee the pricing of your final design. Upon receiving your payment, we will give you the floor plan, elevations and all of the pictures we have prepared for you as well as a copy of the purchase agreement.
Our designer will then prepare all of the necessary paperwork required to place the order and forward the information to our plant.
Once payment is made and kitchen is ordered to our Production Facility.
Our scheduling department will contact you and a tentative delivery, or pick up, date will be discussed and agreed upon between you and Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens. We will later confirm the delivery/pick up date and keep in touch with you to make sure you are not experiencing any delays in the preparation for your new kitchen.
Make sure you have space available outside the new kitchen area for storing your cabinetry while you are working at installing your kitchen.
