Pied Piper Pest Control is a “home spun” company first established in Ketchikan in 1965 by Bill & Ruth Marks. In 1969 they incorporated under the umbrella of Sanitation Services, Inc. In 1973, Cliff Benson (deceased), who was the company accountant, and his wife Betty assumed ownership. In 1986, Dick & Jan Baker, who had been with the company since 1970, took ownership. Under their direction, in 1987, the name of the company was changed to PARATEX Pied Piper to reflect its inclusion with a network of other exceptional pest control companies, mostly in the US Western states. We have since reverted to Pied Piper, but are still a PARATEX affiliate.
