Having come originally from Texas I've made my way throughout the midwest nesting in such places as Ann Arbor, MI and Chicago, IL. Then it was on to California and to Virginia Beach, VA only to come back to my roots in Texas. After working for several businesses and freelance clients simultaneously I decided to pursue a freelance career exclusively. My career has spanned more than 10 years with multiple education stops along the way.

I believe a continued education is important for anyone in the field of design especially with the rapid changes in technology. I currently hold a few undergraduate degrees and am working on my Master's degree in Graphic Design.

I do have a lifelong fondness for elephants. Elephant Trunk Design incorporates the "good luck" of an upturned elephant's trunk with the belief that it also helps one overcome any obstaclees in their path.

I began my education at The University of Michigan, continued at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and went further along to The Art Institute of California-San Diego. Currently I am attending the Academy of Art University in order to obtain a Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. My education has gone the gamut from a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design to a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications.

I am not just a designer but also a lifelong learner. I wear the different hats of a creative team and am willing to collaborate with others. My manual skills include researching, brainstorming, sketching, illustration, storyboarding, and photography.

I am Mac skilled in Adobe Creative Suite 5.0 leaning more into InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro. I also work in Fireworks, After Effects, Quicktime Pro, and at times Dreamweaver. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint (ask me about custom powerpoint slides!). My web knowledge includes WCSS 2.0, HTML 4.01, JavaScript, PHP 5.1 and XHTML to list a few programs.

I am a proud recipient of the 2007 Sappi Ideas That Matter contest for the collaborative work done for the CLEANPB campaign of Pacific Beach.
